A great day to play … I hope all enjoyed the outing.

Participation was 68.2%. of all those that are registered.

Congratulations to all the winners.

Please note that all now have a handicap so all are now in the mix to win weekly prizes.

FYI The adjustments are mostly based on scores in 2024. These will be further adjusted throughout the season based on future performance.

A good statistic that is useful to keep in mind is that you should shoot your handicap or better roughly 40% of the time you play!?

This week’s contest was Stableford. As a reminder, points were awarded (based on your net hole score) as follows:

Double Bogey+: 0 Points
Bogey: 1 Point
Par: 2 Points
Birdie: 3 Points
Eagle: 4 Points
Albatross: 5 Points

Our winner, Kevin Shannon, recorded the only net albatross this week – Nice work!

Next week will be a test-run for our “Championship” format — Low Gross (Flighted). Flights will be established after rounds are completed, depending on participation.

Nice rainy start to the long weekend … and the perfect time to get scores sent out!

The weather was much nicer to us on Thursday, and it was good to see just over 50 players this week. For those interested, our first week of play had just over 70% turnout. We’ve been around the 60% mark in recent weeks.

This week’s contest was back to our familiar “Low Net” format. Attached are the results for June 27th. As always, this information will be posted in the pro shop. Winners – claim your prizes in the shop!

On July 4th, we’ll introduce another new format (at least to some of you): Stableford. I’ll send an update sometime next week explaining the rules — don’t worry, nothing complicated on your end.

Good afternoon, Gentlemen – 

It looks like many of you dodged the significant rainfall last Thursday evening. Fortunately, enough of you finished your rounds, thus allowing us to publish weekly winners!

This week was another new format — 2-Man Best Ball (Random Draw). As a reminder, the format was as follows:

1) Play from your “usual” tee.
2) Record your own individual score
3) Two-Man Teams are drawn at random (based on the players who played).
4) Net scores for each hole are used to determine each team’s “best” score.
5) The team with the lowest total is the winner.

Attached are the results for the June 20th contest. As always, this information will be posted in the pro shop, as well as on the Men’s League Portal. Winners – claim your prizes in the pro shop!

This week, we return to our “normal” low-net format. Looking forward to the decreased humidity …

Participation this week was 48% … a good percentage considering the hot and humid weather conditions.

Some of you, that did not have a registered handicap at the beginning of the season will notice that you now have a handicap next to your name. As a consequence, you are automatically included in the hunt for the weekly prizes … Congratulations. 
FYI, your handicap will be continuously update as the year progresses. 

Also please be aware that we will be starting the team challenges in July. At the end of the season all members of the winning team will receive a prize ( yet to be determined), so please make a mental note that your team needs you … including the final putt on the last hole. No pressure!

2024 Men’s League Season Contests

Good morning, Gentlemen – 

As mentioned in the July 13th Results note, we’re going to change the contest format throughout the season. Some nights will be the same ‘Low Net’ format. Others will be different. The goal is to keep things as simple as possible for you, the player/scorer, while making the contests a bit more interesting.

Here is the schedule of events for the remainder of the season:

June 20 – 2-Man Best Ball (Blind Draw)
June 27 – Low Net
July 4 – Stableford
July 11 – Low Gross (Flighted)
July 18 – Low Net (Long Configuration – ala The OPEN)
July 25 – 2-Man Best Ball (Blind Draw)
August 1 – Low Net
August 8 – Low Net (Addt’l Hole Prizes – ala the Olympics)
August 15 – Thursday 9 Championship (Low Gross – Flighted)
August 22 – (Tentative) Year End Banquet – 2-Man Scramble
August 29 and Beyond – TBD
