Good morning members,
The 2023 Wildwinds Club Championships wrapped up yesterday on what was a beautiful day for golf!
Thank you to all that participated. I am hopeful that it was an enjoyable experience for all. Congratulations to the flight champions. Your parking spots will be ready for you in the spring! Results are as follows.
Good morning members,
Club Championship weekend is only days away! With 94 players registered, this will be the largest field we have ever had. The draw is set and your tee times follow. The Senior and Super Senior divisions have been combined as the numbers and handicap differentials would not allow for proper grouping. 3 senior flights was the best solution.
Please arrive early enough on Saturday that you are ready to go for your tee time. Late arrival will result in disqualification with no exceptions. R&A, USGA Rules of Golf along with our Local Rules will govern play for the weekend. All Local Rules will be discusssed with each group prior to tee off on Saturday morning.

Good morning, Members –
I hope everyone had a fantastic holiday weekend!
Now that we are into July, Club Championship Weekend is just around the corner! Those of you that have participated in previous years know that it is a great 2-day event with a bit more of a competitive feel.
Saturday, July 29th and Sunday, July 30th will see tee times beginning at 7:00am and running until all registrants have gone out (depending on how many register).
The event will be a flighted, 2-day stroke play tournament. Winners will be determined by a total score over the 2 days. Last year’s flights were as follows:
Flights will be determined by your Golf Canada handicaps, which will be required, except for the Championship Flights. If you do not have a registered Golf Canada handicap, and want to participate, contact me and I will get you set up.
The Championship Flights are open flights and can be participated in by anyone.
We will be splitting up the Senior flights based on age this year. We will have a Senior Flight (age 55-64) and a Super Senior Flight (age 65 and over).
Registration sheets are on the members board just outside the pro shop. The registration deadline will be Sunday, July 23rd at 6:00pm with no exceptions.
You will notice marked parking spots in our back lot for last years champions. Please respect these spots as they were earned. This year’s winners will have the same privilege next season.

As a reminder – Final round matches must be complete and reported by September 24th.
Our Members Match Play is being organized by George Lopers this season. This event is open to all members and is a great way to enjoy a bit of a competitive atmosphere at the club. Thank you to George for looking after this event and good luck to all competitors!
Please sign up in the Pro Shop if you are interested in competing. The cost is $10 per person for singles and $20 per team for doubles. Payments need to be made via etransfer or directly to George no later than June 10th. Winner will get 70% of entry fees and runner-up will get 30%. Play will start Sunday, June 18th . You will need to arrange your own games. Space will be limited to 32 Singles and 32 Doubles Teams. This is a single elimination event.

The 2-Player Scramble is all set for Saturday! With over 100 players signed up, this years edition proves to be the biggest members event we have ever hosted. It is great to see! Please arrive 20 minutes prior to your tee time and check in at the Pro Shop counter. I will be meeting groups on the first tee to go over the rules for the day as well as issuing scorecards and your lunch vouchers.

Our Members 2-Player Scramble is set for May 13th. Tee times will begin at 8:00am with 10-minute intervals between times. There will be a burger or sausage included at the completion of your round on our patio behind the clubhouse. This is a fantastic event to start off the season! Last season we had 80 members participate and we are hopeful to break that number this year. This is not a super competitive event and the focus will be on having fun and meeting some new members that you have not had a chance to play with. There is a sign-up sheet in the Pro Shop. Please register by no later than Sunday May 7th.

The Members Portal will aims to add to your Wildwinds membership experience by providing information on upcoming events, event results, and relevant news.
