For the 2025 season, the Competition Committee has made a few updates to the Handicap Policy. Specifically, members participating in Wildwinds-sanctioned events must post their handicap using the “Hole-By-Hole” option through Golf Canada. This ensures the accurate adjustment of your total score, per WHS guidelines.

Hello, Wildwinds Members –
Over the history of the club, Wildwinds members have remained a cornerstone of its culture and success. Wildwinds is proud to maintain a variety of competitive events for its membership base throughout the golf season, including the Club Championships and Singles/Doubles Match Play competitions. The goal of Wildwinds Management is to maintain an equitable and transparent playing experience for all Wildwinds members, including (and especially) during club-sanctioned competitive events.
It is in this spirit that Wildwinds has appointed a formal Competition Committee. The Committee’s mission is to provide governance over Wildwinds-sanctioned events. Initially, this includes the oversight of rules and handicapping for members-only events (like those mentioned above). Over time, the Committee may oversee additional components of Wildwinds’ competitive offerings, such as the Men’s and Womens’ leagues.
As the Committee continues to solidify its operating procedures, we welcome the participation of Wildwinds members by providing any feedback or ideas you may have. Opportunities to serve on the Competition Committee will also be made available to Wildwinds Members over time. Additional information about the Committee will be communicated as it becomes available.
