Looks like we dodged enough of the rain clouds to have some competition!
Related to last week’s note — looks like we still had some issues with score totals. Please make sure to double- (or triple) check your math before turning in scores.
Only a couple weeks remaining before our year-end scramble event. As a reminder, if you haven’t signed up for the event in the pro shop, make sure to do so by August 17th.
NOTE** – The previous scoresheet was replaced on August 6th. Due to a score submission error, Dave Osborne has replaced Kurtis Krepps in 1st place. Additionally, team totals have been adjusted following the score change.

The date for the WWLL 2023 Golf Tournament is Tuesday 22nd August. We are proposing the two person team Scramble format identical to last year’s event.
For those that are new to the League we have added the rules at the end of this email.
There will be a sign-up sheet at the club before your game on Tuesday August 1st. Participation requires that you sign up as a team by end of day Tuesday 15th August to allow time to finalise teams and starting holes for the event.
For those that are short of a partner on that day please list your name and we will assign a partner for you for the event.
The schedule for the day will be confirmed with the final teams but will include a shot gun start at 5.00pm along with dinner and the award following play.
There is no cost to registered WWLL 2023 players.
For those that are worried about inclement weather the club will be erecting a tent during the week beginning 14th August. The dinner and awards will be using the tent.
If there are questions related to the event feel free to forward and we will do our best to answer.

The date for the year-end 2023 WWML 2-Man Scramble is set for Thursday, August 24th.
There will be a sign-up sheet at the club before this Thursday’s competition. If you wish to participate, please sign-up as a team by end of day Thursday, August 17th. For those without a partner, we will assign a partner for you for the event. Final teams and starting holes will be communicated prior to the 24th.
The schedule for the day includes a 5:00pm shotgun start with dinner and tournament/season awards to follow in the Wildwinds event tent.
For those that are new to the League, we have added the rules at the end of this note.
There is no cost to WWML participants.

The 2023 Wildwinds Club Championships wrapped up yesterday on what was a beautiful day for golf!
Thank you to all that participated. I am hopeful that it was an enjoyable experience for all. Congratulations to the flight champions. Your parking spots will be ready for you in the spring! Results are as follows.

Finally, a dry evening! A note of housekeeping for this week’s scores: we had a couple scorecards that were incorrectly totaled, some without legible first and last names, and finally, a cryptic “Closest To” winner on 17 — Anybody know a “TEBO??”
Only a couple weeks remaining before our year-end scramble event. We’re tentatively set for August 24th. Team winners for the season will be announced at the event, but weekly scoring will continue through September 14th. More details to come soon.

Good morning members,
Club Championship weekend is only days away! With 94 players registered, this will be the largest field we have ever had. The draw is set and your tee times follow. The Senior and Super Senior divisions have been combined as the numbers and handicap differentials would not allow for proper grouping. 3 senior flights was the best solution.
Please arrive early enough on Saturday that you are ready to go for your tee time. Late arrival will result in disqualification with no exceptions. R&A, USGA Rules of Golf along with our Local Rules will govern play for the weekend. All Local Rules will be discusssed with each group prior to tee off on Saturday morning.
