Men’s League Results – July 24th, 2025

Good morning, Wildwinds Men’s League –

Hope you all had a great weekend! 

🥵 It was another scorcher out there last Thursday. Back that up with some big storms moving through the area, we were pleased to see that over 50% of you were able to make it out for your League rounds.

⛳ July 24th results are attached.

🏌️The Stableford standings are heating up, and this coming week (July 31th) we will focus in there: It’s Stableford night! No gross/net winners — just points acquired based on your net hole score to par. Most points win the night! Stableford rounds change the strategy, rewarding those birdies and eagles. So — as our buddy John Daly (anybody seen Happy Gilmore 2 yet??) would say — “Grip it, and rip it!”

📆 In case anyone is wondering about our August event schedule, here’s what we’ve got lined up:

• August 7th – Low Net
• August 14th – 2-Man Best Ball (Pick Your Pro)
• August 21st – LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP (Low Gross – Flighted)
• August 28th – Low Net

Men’s League Results – July 17th, 2025

Good evening, Wildwinds Men’s League!

A bit delayed on scoring this week – I was out of town last week, and I’m just getting around to pulling all the results together. Thanks for your patience!

⛳ July 17th League results are below. This past week featured the ‘Long’ version of our Low Net scoring. Despite the challenge, we had a few low scores posted!

🏌️This week (July 24th) is back to the basics – standard Low Net, with hole prizes and cleaners. Looks like another hot round ahead of us!

Men’s League Results – July 10th, 2025

Good morning, Wildwinds Men’s League!

☀️ Hot one out there this past Thursday! Just over 50% of the League toughed it out this week for the Low Gross (Flighted) event.

⛳ July 10th League results are attached and are also available on the Wildwinds Men’s League Portal. You’ll note that this week we did not have hole contests. This was to accommodate the larger number of flights (7).

🏌️This week is another Major Tournament week! That mind, you’ll need to channel your inner Royal Portrush as we stretch the course out, playing the long version of our Low Net format. I’ll send a reminder of the particulars later this week.

Men’s League Results – July 3rd, 2025

☀️ Thursday was a beauty day for golf! It was great to see a big turnout this week. This week’s format was a little different — hopefully you all enjoyed the different opportunities to play holes longer or shorter than you may otherwise.

🏌️I’ll send an update early next week about the July 10th format, which will be our first flighted gross scoring event of the year. Stay tuned!

Men’s League Results – June 26th, 2025

Good morning, Wildwinds Men’s League!

☔ Dodging rain again this week … Fortunately, things cleared up for the evening rounds! This week, we had a new format – the 2-man Best Ball (Random Draw). After completing your rounds, I generated random pairings and used each player’s net hole scores to determine the team score. The team with the lowest net score was the winner. Note — if you are unhappy with your pairing, you can blame ChatGPT …

Wildwinds Men’s League – June 19th Results

Good evening, Wildwinds Men’s League!

It was a wet and windy one last week. Fortunately, we had just enough of you get a round in to count an “official” league week. Quick update for everyone, as I know this one is a bit delayed.

⛳ June 19th League results are attached! Results are also available on the Wildwinds Men’s League Portal.Yet a 4th attachment has been added this week — this time, it’s the Cleaners results. 

🏌️This week, we’ll mix things up a bit with a new format: Two-Man Best Ball (Random Draw). You’ll play a regular round from your normal tees. After things wrap up, I’ll randomly select your partner, and calculate your team’s best-ball score. The top three two-man teams are the winners!

If anyone has any feedback, questions, etc. — let me know!

Men’s League Update – June 16th

Good afternoon, Wildwinds Men’s League! (And welcome to the Men’s League Portal…)

⛳ June 12th League results are posted below. At the request of a few league players, I’ve included a list sorted by total Stableford points.

🏌️This week, we return to our standard “Low Net” format. We’ll start mixing weekly events up next week, but until then, we’re throwing in a new wrinkle — SKINS (Cleaners)! Starting this week, we’ll host both a Gross and Net Skins (Cleaners) competition. Participation is voluntary, and you may choose to play in either or both events. Entry to the contest is CASH ONLY — $5 per entry (so, $10 if you want to get into both). Winners will be announced with the rest of the weekly recap.

💰A few other notes regarding the Skins (Cleaners) game: A sign-up sheet will be available in the pro-shop each week. You will need to sign-up and pay your entry fee each week at check-in. For those of you unfamiliar, it’s pretty easy: The objective is to get the lowest gross/net score on each hole. There are 9 skins/cleaners up for grabs, and the player with the lowest gross/net score on a hole wins the skin/cleaner. If there is a tie for low score between two or more players on a hole, no skin/cleaner is awarded. At the end of the night, the pot is split evenly amongst those individuals grabbing a skin/cleaner.
