Good afternoon, Gentlemen – 

This is (hopefully) the last update before league kicks off on Thursday. A few housekeeping notes … Bear with me.

First — If you haven’t paid, make sure to do so ASAP!

Second — Due to conflicts with public bookings, you will need to book league rounds in-person or by phone. Online booking of league tee times is unavailable until further notice.

Third — There will be food specials on league nights, throughout the season. Make sure to check it out when you check-in!

Lastly — So we’re square on rules and expectations, please read the attached information/rule sheet. Of note …

1) For scores to be valid, you MUST: a) Turn your card in on Thursday (Friday hand-ins are not accepted), b) Include your first and last name, and c) double (triple) check your math.

2) Tees (unless otherwise noted): Those under age 55 plays from the Blues, 55-79 from the Whites, and 80+ from the Reds,

3) Re-familiarize yourself with rules for lost balls, out of bounds, hazards, etc. Too much detail to cover here, but remember — play a provisional if you fear your ball is out of bounds or lost in the woods/fescue (other than a red-stake hazard). Local rules permit a drop for lost balls and out-of-bounds, BUT it is a two-stroke penalty. As always, a red-stake hazard is a one-stroke penalty.

Good morning, Gentlemen – 

Kick off of the 2024 Men’s League season is upon us!

A couple notes:

1) Registration Night is tomorrow evening (roughly 5-7). If you haven’t paid, please try to make it to the shop to pay and collect your welcome gift. There will be food specials, and it looks like an excellent day to get in a warm-up round!

2) If you cannot make it tomorrow evening but still need to pay, please do so ASAP. We’ll accept payments until next Thursday. However, it makes our lives a lot easier if you’re paid up before league starts next week.

3) The first week of league play is next Thursday, the 30th. You may make your tee times online, or with the pro shop (via phone, or in person). 

4) Weekly results will be posted in the pro shop AND on our Men’s League Portal. The online portal will also have various announcements throughout the season. The password for the portal is: WWML2024

Good morning, Gentlemen – 

The 2023 Wildwinds Men’s Golf League has come to an end! Glad to see a handful of folks out yesterday to close the season out.

Additionally — congratulations to Team Noonan for their 2023 Team Title! Team members may claim their prize from the pro shop any time before the end of 2023 golf season.

Lastly, I wanted to thank you all for your participation this season. I sincerely hope that you enjoyed yourselves, made some memorable shots and maybe a few new golfing buddies.

We’re always interested to hear about your experience, and I invite you to provide your feedback. A short survey has been setup HERE. It is 100% anonymous and optional. If you prefer, you may also send your ideas/questions/concerns to leagues@golfwildwinds.ca.

Lower turnout this week, as many have jumped back into the school/fall activities routine.

With one week to go, Team Noonan has officially clinched the 2023 team title, with Team McAvoy 5 points behind in 2nd. Team Gilmore and Team Spackler are within one point of each other in the fight for 3rd.

In the coming week, we’ll be sending out more info on team prizes, as well as an online survey for the 2023 season. Feel free to email us at leagues@golfwildwinds.ca if you’d prefer to share feedback that way.
